With the addition of CM-Gen 18436-10, the CM programme owner will be reviewing/deploying the monitoring that takes place with respect to failure mode detection in terms of cost-benefit analysis so that it is correct for the business and brings value to the maintenance and improves the performance of assets. I intend to look at where there are gaps in the ‘standard’ certified techniques and where other parameters have been used to detect failure or use lower end ‘standard’ technology to a greater effect by employing big data analytics.
