The Grand, York, was built in 1906 as the headquarters of the North Eastern Railway. Designed by William Bell and Horace Field, the building showcases elegant marble interiors, oak-panelled rooms and the majestic Grand Boardroom. The Grand, York, is perfectly placed half-way between London and Edinburgh and is less than one mile from York train station. Some of the city's most popular attractions include York Minster, the National Railway Museum, York's Chocolate Story, the historic Shambles and much more, all of which are also within walking distance of the venue.
By rail:
Travel by rail in under two hours from central London. Edinburgh is just two-and-a-half hours away and there are regular direct services from Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. The Grand, York, is just a three-minute walk (0.3 miles) from York train station.
By air:
York is easily accessible via Manchester (83 miles/133km) and Leeds (30 miles/48km) airports. Fly to Manchester from across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America. Fly to Leeds from 19 European countries including France, Croatia and Greece.
