Registration is now open for the European Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring 2018 (EWSHM) taking place next year from 10-13 July and being held at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate in Manchester, UK
EWSHM started in 2002 and since then has grown significantly over the years, becoming the strong counterpart to the International Workshop on SHM (IWSHM) held in Stanford, California, USA. The two recent conferences in Nantes (2014) and Bilbao (2016) were highly successful involving almost 500 delegates and 20 industrial companies and it is anticipated that the EWSHM2018 will prove to be just as popular.The conference in 2018 will take place in the Hilton Manchester Deansgate which is in the city of Manchester, in the north of England. Within walking distance of a fantastic selection of shops, bars and restaurants, the hotel is also only just a few minutes walk from the Deansgate train station.
There will be over 50 technical presentations given across the three days. These sessions will cover a whole range of SHM technologies and applications such as aerospace, automotive, civil engineering, design and maintenance, electromagnetic, fast fourier transform, feature extraction, fibre optic, marine, MEMs, pattern recognition, physical monitoring principles, piezoelectric, principle component analysis, railway, research, SHM applications, structural simulation, wavelet transform and wind turbine.
Full-time registration includes attendance at all conference sessions, the Conference Proceedings CD-ROM and all meals and evening functions, including the Conference Dinner. Part-time registration excludes all evening functions.

- The facility to register and pay by invoice is only available to Corporate Members, Approved Training Schools, Education Establishments and Universities.
- The facility to register and pay by invoice will be closed four weeks prior to the conference. At this point registration payments must be made by credit card.
- Cancellation penalty: less than two weeks before the event, 50% of conference fees.
An invoice and joining instructions will be issued by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing following receipt of registration.
