Acquisition of Applied Inspection Limited by Rockwood Service Corporation

Rockwood Service Corporation, a global provider of non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection and related services, has announced the acquisition of Applied Inspection Limited, a leading provider of NDT, materials testing and training services across a range of industries in the United Kingdom. Applied Inspection was founded in 1984 and operates from four laboratories in Burton, Chesterfield, Ossett and Glasgow.“We are very pleased to welcome the entire Applied Inspection organisation to the Rockwood family,” said Peter Scannell, Rockwood’s Founder and President. “The Applied team has deep technical expertise and a long-standing commitment to delivering value-added NDT services with an emphasis on quality, safety and productivity. Ted Peake will continue to oversee Applied Inspection as Managing Director and Pat Slater will continue to serve as Technical Director.
