Machfu working with ITT
31/01/2020
Machfu, an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology company, has announced the integration of its IoT gateway platform with ITT Inc’s i-ALERT sensor and Ai web platform. The integration provides scalable predictive maintenance at any level. The i-ALERT gateway delivers a secure connection between the i-ALERT sensors and the i-ALERT Ai platform. Vibration spectrum from equipment can be retrieved when there is an alarm and around-the-clock trends of vibration and temperature data can be obtained.“Working together, the two companies will help industrial customers expand life expectancy of machines and predict failures before they occur. This is the latest example of Machfu’s leadership in rapidly integrating with the emerging IoT ecosystem,” said John Geiger, VP Business Development at Machfu.
ITT Inc’s i-ALERT sensors track triaxial vibration, triaxial kurtosis, temperature and runtime hours 24/7/365. They also wirelessly synchronise data to the i-ALERT mobile app via Bluetooth V4-enabled devices. A check is performed every five minutes and an alarm sounds if the equipment is outside of normal operating conditions. Visual ALERTs notify users and an alarm message is wirelessly broadcast.
“The combination of Machfu’s gateway edge platform with ITT’s i-ALERT sensors enables automation of data collection activities. Our i-ALERT customers now have the flexibility to scale their condition monitoring programme from simple troubleshooting with their mobile phone or continuous remote monitoring with the i-ALERT gateway,” said Dan Kernan, Executive Director, Aftermarket Technology & Solutions at ITT.
