Steve Lavender awarded MBE

Lavender International has announced that Steve Lavender, Co-Managing Director, has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List 2014, for services to the economy and regeneration.
Commenting on the award, Steve Lavender said: “To receive this honour was a great surprise and I am grateful to those who felt I was a worthy candidate. The family business has grown from humble beginnings around my mother, father and brother Dave, and without their support this honour would not have been possible.”
Steve has spent many years in support of BINDT, from committee level through to Vice President, President Elect and, in 2011 and 2012, BINDT President. The company sees this honour as a reflection of the considerable amount of time spent as a volunteer for the Institute, as well as growing Lavender International into a well-respected and globally-recognised company.
Steve added: “To the directors and staff of Lavender International, it goes without saying that we have always worked as a team and this shows in this recognition – I thank you all. Thanks also to my wife Teresa and my family, who have continually supported me over the years. I hope this honour will inspire us all to further success in the future.”
