Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, the company is seeking an experienced Contract NDT Technician to join its quality team on a fixed-term basis and support the inspection of safety-critical precision engineered components.
Responsibilities:
The successful Contract NDT Technician will be responsible for the inspection and evaluation of components to ensure they conform to customer specifications and safety standards.
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out inspection operations, including dye penetrant inspection (DPI) and visual inspections
- Ensuring all non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment is correctly maintained and suitable for operation
- Interpreting and evaluating test results against defined acceptance standards
- Generating work instructions in preparation for Level 3 approval.
Essential experience, skills and qualifications:
- Level 2 qualified in fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), dye penetrant inspection and liquid penetrant inspection (LPI)
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry (aerospace, defence, nuclear or a similar engineering environment)
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and drawings.
