Labquip NDT Limited is a key distributor of non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment. We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join the team.

The Labquip NDT head office is located in Brighton and the territory for which the Senior Sales Engineer will have responsibility for a defined region in the North of England, specifically the following geographical regions – from Liverpool across, north of Stoke-on-Trent, north of Derby (south of Nottingham) up to the Scottish border.

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Sales Engineer with a business development focus. The successful candidate should have a proven track record with strong technical knowledge of applications and products.

This role involves a wide range of responsibilities and tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Providing business support to and managing the existing NDT customer base for a number of NDT product ranges.
  • Actively using sales history data to identify potential sales.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase product sales and cross sell where possible.
  • Proactively growing the customer base and identifying inefficiencies in sales promotion techniques.
  • Utilising CRM/ERP platform data to deliver and exceed key metrics for each of the product ranges.
  • Undertaking the creation and development of a focused prospecting plan to target new customers and opportunities.
  • Developing a targeted approach to sales with a view to increasing year on year growth.
  • Supporting and liaising with the Sales Manager to enhance the sales process.
  • Applying market and technical knowledge to offer effective solutions for customers.

What you need:

  • Previous sales experience in a technical role is essential.
  • Industry experience of material science and/or NDT is important.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to assess a technical issue and apply knowledge resulting in a solution driven approach.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Proven capacity to negotiate effectively.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent computer proficiency, in particular Microsoft Office, familiarisation with CRM/ERP systems.
