The COMADIT (Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Technology) group was formed in the mid 1980s to promote the knowledge and application of condition monitoring techniques globally. The group was initially responsible to the NDT Technical Committee of BINDT but in recent years the group has been replaced by the Condition Monitoring Technical Committee (CMTC) as a full BINDT Committee. The CM Technical Committee has thus taken over the responsibility for the implementation of all COMADIT activities.
WHAT IS CONDITION MONITORING?
Techniques collectively referred to as condition monitoring (CM) have a common objective of indicating the early signs of deterioration or malfunction and wear trending in structure, plant and machinery through surveillance, testing and analysis.
