Australia is a long way away from Winsford but Mark Clark and Mark Nel, the intrepid travellers that they are, set out on the long journey via Bangkok for the east coast of Australia.The 9th OPE Conference & Exhibition that incorporates the AINDT was held on the Gold Coast at the Holiday Inn, Surfers Paradise.
"Now, any place where the average annual temperature is in the 20s Celsius, an endless beach and meter-maids clad in gold bikinis is worth visiting," said AGR's General Manager Mark Clark, with apologies for the male perspective. However, work was the order of the day and AGR's exhibition booth was set up in the Russell Fraser Sales (RFS) stand together with RFS's other suppliers. RFS is a top distributor of NDT equipment in Australia, with decades of experience. "Our booth was a hive of activity and we were kept busy by the direct and to-the-point local style of enquiry," continued Mark Clark. "Many of the visitors were from remote parts of the country and had only this small window of opportunity to question us in-depth about our products and the applications in which they intended to use them.""The show organisation was of outstanding quality and the RFS team went above and beyond what was expected to make us and our fellow suppliers' task comfortable and enjoyable. The conference papers were of high quality and most informative," he continued. "Thanks to all involved for a useful and productive show."
