Phoenix Inspection Systems Ltd
Stand B7
Established in 1983, Phoenix Inspection Systems Limited will be using Materials Testing 2017 to market its range of ultrasonic NDT solutions. The dynamic product range of manual and automated transducers, scanners, manipulators and tools offer NDT professionals solutions to inspection requirements for: weld testing, crack detection, C-scan inspection, corrosion mapping and composite inspection.
Highlights of the display will be live demonstrations of Phoenix solutions including:
NozzleScan: a versatile scanning solution developed for the inspection of nozzle welds. Available in both two and three-axis configurations and adaptable to cover a wide range of 90 degree nozzle sizes, from 3" upwards. NozzleScan allows users to adjust the skew axis with modules available for both set-through and set-on nozzle configurations.
R-Evolution: an ultrasonic array roller probe housed in an ergonomic lightweight water-filled roller delivering fast immersion quality C-scan inspections. Designed to minimise operator fatigue, R-Evolution is ideal for use on large areas and overhead inspections typically encountered in aerospace C-scans, wind energy blade spar inspections and pipe and vessel corrosion mapping.
MagMan: a highly versatile manual weld inspection scanner for pipes from 2" OD circumferential and 9" OD longitudinal, up to flat and is capable of holding up to 12 probe combinations of phased array, ToFD and conventional UT. MagMan offers the user a robust scanning frame with quick release adjustments for ease of use in the field with a wide range of customisable accessories.
Swift: a compact single-axis magnetic wheeled scanner for 3" pipes up to flat. Swift provides the operator with an innovative option of pivoting wheel units to enable B- or D-scans and is ideal for difficult to access areas.
Warrington-based Phoenix ISL also specialises in application-specific solutions and can design and manufacture fully-customised transducers and ultrasonic scanning systems, to meet the most challenging NDT inspections.
