About the workshop

This workshop will showcase the importance of NDT in safety-critical applications (including nuclear energy, aero engines, oil & gas, civil construction and marine) and allow researchers, technicians, apprentices and students to see a wide range of applications.

A concluding session will focus on NDT apprenticeships, looking at the present situation in Scotland and reviewing the rapid progress of the Trailblazer NDT Apprenticeship Scheme in England.

The event will be held at the Watermill Hotel in the centre of Paisley, within walking distance of Paisley Gilmour Street railway station and a short taxi ride from Glasgow Airport.

A table-top exhibition will run in parallel with the workshop, which delegates can visit during the tea/coffee and lunch breaks.

In the evening, following a networking period, the venue will host the Annual Burns Supper, a celebration of the life and works of Robert Burns, with music, songs and dancing. The attendance fee is £40.00 + VAT.
