TVC going subsea

05/02/2014

Following recent discussions, The Validation Centre (TVC) Ltd has signed an agreement with ASAMS to take over the production, marketing and service for all subsea MPI systems currently produced by ASAMS.

TVC has long been established in the industry as a manufacturer of specialist NDT equipment, in addition to offering calibration and repair services for all types of NDT equipment and systems.

“The addition of the MPI systems will offer new opportunities for TVC,” said a spokesperson. “The equipment has proven itself to be an effective and reliable subsea tool, which has been successfully used in the harshest of environments. The ‘System III’ has become the industry standard for subsea MPI inspection and the smaller ‘System 12’ has found its uses in shallow and tidal water applications. These two units, plus the ancillary equipment such as UV lights, yokes and prod units, will further enhance TVC’s position in the NDT equipment market.

“This is a great opportunity for TVC. We intend to continue the excellent service provided by ASAMS in the past and enhance the range of equipment available, utilising our extensive experience in the supply of specialist NDT systems. Existing users of the subsea MPI equipment should contact us directly for service and spare part supply.”

TVC currently manufactures the Dinsearch 1.00 equipment for the inspection of ferrous boiler tubes and heat exchangers, as well as the ColcheK lighting column system, for the inspection of the below-ground section of street lighting columns without the need for excavation.
