Balance of Plant
BOP – Balance of Plant is a term used to describe all of the auxiliary systems required to support the main product production facility.
The BOP is generally used in a power generation context and relates to the infrastructure required to support the main generating plant. It may be subdivided into electrical BOP and mechanical BOP. In wind farms, the BOP includes the electrical and civil works to support the turbine.
