Stop Think Act Review 

STARStop Think Act Review is a self-checking error prevention tool that is commonly used in a health and safety context. The objective is to assist an individual to perform a task correctly and safely.

  • Stop – this is to force a pause before starting and allow time to focus on the task to be performed.
  • Think – visualise what is going to be carried out and confirm that it is safe to do so.
  • Act – carefully undertake the task.
  • Review – check the desired result has been achieved and consider how well the task went and what could be done to improve the task and safety next time.
