Authorised Examination Centre and Authorised Qualifying Body
AQB – Authorised Qualifying Body
– is a body, independent of any single predominant interest, satisfying
the criteria detailed in PCN document reference CP9 and authorised by the British Institute of NDT to prepare and administer PCN examinations
to qualify NDT personnel.
AEC – Authorised Examination Centre – is a location, approved by BINDT, where PCN examinations are conducted.
Document CP9 prescribes the requirements that aspirant and existing BINDT AQBs are to satisfy in order to gain and maintain authorisation to conduct qualification examinations leading to the award by BINDT of PCN certification. Such requirements cover the facilities, resources, quality systems, staff and records to be maintained.
